Flat-fee Preventative Maintenance Services

Preventative maintenance tasks need to be done on a regular basis, including (but there are more):
  • Applying the latest Microsoft security patches – Ongoing.
  • Keeping anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-malware software up to date and running regular scans – Ongoing. BTG even includes the protection software in the monthly fee so you don't need to worry about the additional cost of licensing the software.
  • System Backups – Daily.
  • Disk Clean-up and Defragmentation – At least monthly.
  • Monitoring system performance and system logs for small problems that can be solved before they become major failures – Ongoing.
The amount of time it traditionally takes to perform these tasks can place undue burden on the IT budget for a small business, so much so that many small businesses we talk to opt not to perform maintenance and only bring in their computer guy when the computer finally breaks.

Because we’ve invested in enterprise-class management infrastructure, we have reduced the time it takes to provide preventative maintenance and can pass those savings on to our small business customers as a flat monthly fee. It’s like having your own IT department with the best tools and resources available, but sharing the cost with our other small business customers. Now preventative maintenance tasks that were very expensive when billed by the hour, or being neglected entirely, are kept up to date constantly.
